EXPERIENCE

Over seven years experience related to Weld Inspection and Quality Assurance in the structural steel fabrication industry and nine years of welding experience for structural and maintenance welding. Inspection related duties currently include:

  • Visual Inspection of welds and fabrication per CSA W59.1, CSA W59.2, ASME Section IX, CSA Z662, ASME B31.1, ASME B31.3, ASME B31.9 and AWS Codes.

  • Preparation of welding procedure data sheets for CWB and AWS applications.

  • Mechanical testing of materials to CSA W47.1, CSA W47.2 and AWS D1.6.

  • Visual inspection and load testing of mobile cranes to CSA Z150.

  • Visual inspection and load testing of overhead traveling cranes to CSA B167.

Over thirteen years experience in structural engineering, welding engineering, fabrication quality assurance and welding/fabrication inspection, primarily for heavy industrial & civil engineering projects. Inspection related services include:

  • Visual inspection of welds and steel fabrication per CSA W59, AWS D1.1, ASME Section IX and numerous other design and fabrication standards.

  • Visual Inspection & Quality Assurance for shop fabrication of four (4) MTO Bridges in the North-West Ontario Region.

  • Inspection supervision and quality assurance related to inspection services.

  • Preparation of welding specifications & welding/brazing procedures for CWB, ASME, AWS and Military applications, in carbon & stainless steel, aluminum, copper, titanium, and other metals.
